Loch Ard Rowing Club
observes the
Loch Ard - A Code fo Conduct for the use of Loch Ard as
prepared in collaboration with the Loch Ard Recreation
Management Working Group and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
National Park Authority.

Environment Policy
Loch Ard is part of Loch
Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and is considered a
scenically beautiful, tranquil, and environmentally
sensitive loch. The Loch Ard Rowing Club respects the
objectives for the Loch and will abide by the following
practices and policies:

The only motor launch
allowed on the loch is the Club's designated Safety Launch
-
Megaphones should only be
used if required for safety purposes, or during regattas
held by the Club. Cox boxes may be used, but the volume
should be kept to a minimum.

Care should be exercised
when refueling outboard motors (e.g., using funnels and
catch alls) to prevent pollution to the loch.
- Boats should keep away from nesting
areas, or areas populated by geese, ducks, etc.
